Sources

Articles summarize the available source material. A source link indicates where information came from; it is not an endorsement. Announcements, estimates and allegations should remain attributed to the source, and uncertainty should be stated rather than filled in.

Evidence and context

A collected headline or feed extract may contain less detail than the original document. Our reporting should reflect that limit. Context sections and topic archives help readers compare developments, but they do not add evidence for claims in an article.

Publication and attribution

The date shown on an article is its publication date. Source dates remain separate. Articles carry the publication byline and link to its editorial identity. Related links distinguish the same event from broader topic coverage, and network links are identified as such.
